With single story ranch houses flanking it, appropriate scale was a major consideration in this new Sherwood Forest home. The one and one-half story design allows the upper floor rooms to be tucked under the roof, limiting the homes height and perceived size. The main living area features a large eat-in kitchen and glass doors leading to a stone patio, while skylights above the stairs allows natural light to penetrate the center of the home. Like many CleverHouse designs, the home features an outdoor room. In this case, the room has been pulled away from the main house, maximizing both natural light within the house as well as breezes through the outdoor room.
