Rick began working in an architectural office at age 14. He continued working part-time as a draftsman and designer while pursuing his undergraduate degree and later his Masters of Architecture from The Georgia Institute of Technology.

Rather than continuing in a traditional architectural practice, Rick decided to focus on a design-build career instead. After working for several years as a project manager for a mid-sized general construction company, he opened his own design-build company in 2000. He has been designing and building high-end custom homes ever since.

When Rick doesn't have his sleeves rolled up on a home project, he enjoys hiking, golf, and the occasional scramble to the top of a mountain peak. He loves spending time in his own home, a mid-century ranch that he has renovated from top to bottom. There, you can find him listening to great music, cooking an outstanding meal to share with his wife and twin teenage daughters.
